Fresh off her New York Post B+ rated performance in the latest gubernatorial debate, we are very excited to have Former Congresswoman Katie Porter (D-CA) join us on this episode of the Find Out Podcast. Known for flipping a very red district in 2018 and going viral for grilling banking executives with her whiteboards while serving on the Financial Services Committee, Porter has been running as the Housing Candidate in this race pushing an agenda to make housing more affordable in California. We are very excited to have Governor J.B. Pritzker (D. IL) on the Find Out Podcast. Governor Pritzker has long been one of Trump's loudest critics, fighting him every step of the way. And now, he hasn’t just done it once. He’s done it twice.
This past weekend, Trump proved once again that you know he’s lying because his mouth is moving.
While it’s not entirely surprising he invaded Iran, it’s still a shock and awe moment that will go down as one of his most cataclysmic decisions in his dangerous and chaotic history.
And here’s the thing: Iran isn’t Iraq. Or Afghanistan. Or Venezuela. Iran is the 6th largest country in Asia (around 92M), with a GDP of over $400B. They have vastly superior military capabilities than many of its neighbors. Even if we can all agree that it’s not being ruled by anything that even looks like a pluralistic democratic regime, you could also argue the same thing about the modern U.S.
Imagine how (rightly!) fucking pissed you’d be if a foreign nation assassinated our leaders without backing from its populous and started bombing our nation’s capital.
And that’s just what Trump has done…again. But this time, he’s picked a dangerous and wealthy enemy.
To put it mildly: Fuck.
We sat down with Gregg Carlston live from Riyadh (Middle East correspondent, The Economist), and Andrew Miller (former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli-Palestinian Affairs) who spoke to us to try and make sense of the region’s reaction to the invasion.
