Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan begins his explanation of Kitab al-Fitan from Sahih al-Bukhari, opening with the linguistic origin of the word fitnah drawn from placing gold into fire so its purity is separated from its impurities. He covers Allah's warning that trials will not strike only the wrongdoers, the severity of pointing a weapon at a Muslim, and the obligation of listening to the Muslim ruler including the four strict conditions the scholars require before rising against him.
Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan then explains the hadith that "the one sitting is better than the one standing" during fitnah, the ruling on two Muslims meeting with their swords, and the positions of the Sahabah who withheld their hands during the fitnas of Ali and Mu'awiyah.

Deviation occurs when people harbour bad intentions (Niyyah) or possess a flawed understanding (Fahm) of text (Qur'an and Sunnah), or both.
In this episode of the explanation of 'Ad Daa wad Dawaa' (The Disease and the Cure) by Imam Ibn al Qayyim, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan unveils the mistakes and corruption in the beliefs of sects such as the Jabriyyah, the Khawaarij, and the Murji'ah.
Furthermore, he explains the statements of Imam Ibn al Qayyim on various groups deceived by wishful thinking and those who misinterpret the verses of the Qur'an. Among them are people who erroneously believe that their love for righteous servants of Allah alone guarantees salvation on the Day of Judgment. This is a lecture introducing a classical Arabic poem (qasida) written by the Andalusian scholar Ibn Bahij (5th century Hijri) in praise of the Mother of the Believers, Aisha رضي الله عنها. Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan provides biographical context on the author before walking through the poem's 56 lines, which are written as though Aisha رضي الله عنها herself is speaking declaring her unique virtues: being the Prophet's ﷺ only virgin wife, the one in whose home and on whose chest he died, the woman whose honour Allah defended directly in the Quran across ten verses, and the daughter of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, the greatest of the companions. The lecture is delivered with evident urgency given the modern reality of people openly slandering her, noting that scholars have ruled such slander constitutes disbelief.
The second half of the lecture pivots to the towering virtues of Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه his sacrificing all his wealth for the Prophet ﷺ, his companionship in the cave, his courage in fighting the apostates after the Prophet's death, and Jibreel's own testimony to his poverty in the path of Allah. Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan ties it all together with a powerful message: loving Aisha means cutting ties with those who insult her, and true love of the Prophet ﷺ is inseparable from love of his family and his companions together, not one at the expense of the other.

In this heartfelt reminder delivered in Makkah during the last ten nights of Ramadan, Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan opens with one of the most overlooked obligations in Islam: showing gratitude for the blessing of being Muslim. Drawing on the Quranic story of the People of the Sabbath and the example of Abu Talib, he reminds us that Islam itself is a gift that was not guaranteed to any of us, and that gratitude is what keeps a blessing in place and opens the door to more. He then connects this to the gift of Ramadan itself, explaining through the words of Ibn Rajab how Allah compensated this Ummah's shorter lifespans with seasons of multiplied reward, so that a single night of Laylatul Qadr is worth more than eighty-three years of worship.
Ustadh AbdulRahman closes with two conditions every deed must meet to be accepted, sincerity and conformity to the sunnah, and a moving story about the signs of death that surround us without us noticing.
