Of the matters of Aisha RA is that she was the most knowledgeable of the Ummahat Ul Mumineen or the Faqiha of Islam and she was a treasure of knowledge pertaining to Islam, Fiqh, theology, hadith and Aqeedah. She is among the top 4 narrators of Hadith having recorded a stunning 2200 in number. It is considered to be the most authentic as well since it is quoted directly from the Prophet ﷺ and not like the other Sahabas who have their narrations from other Sahabas.

She was also the epitome of eloquence and she has numerous poetry to her credit. She was also a herbal doctor of sorts and numerous sick children would be brought to her for treatment. She also performed Ruqyah.

She was also admired for her deep questioning and analytical skills as is evident from her questions asked regarding verses in the Qur'an and the Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ. She has also given clarifications and rectified numerous Fatwas from other Sahabas in matters relating to application of perfume before donning the Ihram, on the necessity of untying the hair of a woman while doing Ghusl when she is in a state of Janaba, the necessity to do Wudu again on kissing one’s spouse and so on and so forth.

The relationship that was between Aisha RA and Ali RA is also elaborated upon and we get the gist of it not being a smooth one. However, it never crossed the boundaries of Islam and each one refrained from making any untoward comments about each other and treated each other with utmost respect and dignity.

The actual age of Aisha RA is a topic of dispute and is put to rest by elaborating on the pointers that authenticate this very point…

The return of Yaqub AS with his family to Egypt and the reunion with his beloved son, Yusuf AS was a beautiful one. Yusuf AS hugged his parents tight and it was an emotional union and he raised his parents on to the throne of the kingdom to honour and respect them. When he did this, all of the 11 brothers and parents fell in prostration to Yusuf AS, thus, bringing his dream as a child to a full circle of interpretation as it achieves actuality.

The practice of prostration to another human being as a predominant sign of respect was only valid until the time of Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ forbade this vehemently in his time.

Prophet Yusuf AS was full of gratitude for the fact that he could provide his family with comfort and respect. The perfection of the character of Yusuf AS comes to the fore when he avoids mentioning the sins committed by his brothers to avoid causing them distress.

Yusuf AS mentions an Attribute of Allah. Allah is Al Lateef. What does this mean?

Shaykh Yasir Qadhi provides an explanation of the first few verses of Surah Yusuf which deal with the Noble Qur'an being a source of greatness, majesty, clarity and guidance for mankind. Lees meer

The first verse begins with Huroof Al-Muqatta’at which are to show the miraculous nature of the Qur’an. The Qur’an is composed of words that we speak, language that we know, and letters that we write, yet mankind is not able to produce something similar to this .

Why is a word meaning ‘ Tilka -far ‘mentioned in the verse? There are two opinions for this. The Speech of Allah is far superior than the speech of man. Allah has preserved in the Grand Book or preserved Tablet which is with Him.

Al Mubeen - The first connotation of the verse is that this Noble Book is itself clear to understand. The second connotation is describing the function of the book which is to make things clear or clarifies truth from falsehood, evil from truth.

The usage of Allah referring to Himself in the plural is to show His Majesty and not an entity. Whenever He commands angels to do anything, He refers to Himself in the plural.

The origination of the Qur'an comes from Allah and has not been created and hence, the word Anzalna is used.

To his complete misery, the people of Taif were brutal in their dealings with the Prophet ﷺ. The story that transpired between himself and the three brothers (leaders)is explained which ended in the utmost of contempt and sarcasm.

Surah Yusuf and the life of Prophet ﷺ have marked similarities.

The length of time of preaching without receiving a positive and fair response for Islam.
    The death of loved ones.
The rejection faced by the two Prophets at the hands of their own people.

Asbab e Nuzool means specific cause for the revelation of a verse or the Surah. Two specific scenarios that occurred that caused Allah to reveal Surah Yusuf:

Some Jews from Madina went to Makkah and the Quraysh considered them to be superior in terms of civilisation. So the Quraysh wanted a perspective to reject the teachings of Prophet Muhammad SAW.hence, the Jews asked them to ask the Prophet ﷺ about Prophet Yusuf AS and see if he responds.
The Sahabas also questioned the Prophet ﷺ about stories about Prophets so that they could reassert their belief in Islam and the Prophet ﷺ.

We should realise that we should not jump into the bandwagon simply because the majority of those around us are doing the same. Our interpretation of support for a cause must be decided by the theology of Islam. Only if the paradigm of Islam allows it should it be taken up for support by the Muslims.

Islam respects chastity, modesty, dignity and all good values and we will not get popularized by pleasing the creation of Allah. Rather it is the Creator who we need to aim to please endlessly to ensure a good life in the Akhirah. We should never forget about the theological benefits and true spirituality.

The philosophy of the Sahabas to spread Islam was to give dawah to the people about our religion and what it meant to be a Muslim. The actions of the Muslims is the best way to make anyone accept the religion of Islam.

The best example is that when the Prophet ﷺ migrated to Madinah, the Muslims were a mere 15% which rose to 90%. We are reminded of the first Khutbah which the Prophet ﷺ gave when he reached Madina.
