In this sermon, we come to the cross - the climax of history and the heart of the Christian faith. Jesus willingly goes to Golgotha as our substitute, bearing the penalty of sin and accomplishing the work of salvation on behalf of sinners. Lees meer

As Jesus hangs on the cross in agony and shame, we see the heart of God displayed in His prayer, “Father, forgive them.” Even one of the criminals who had mocked Him begins to see the truth: he recognizes his guilt, acknowledges that he deserves judgment, and looks to Jesus as his only Savior.

The thief has nothing to offer - no good works to perform and no opportunity to make up for his past. He simply comes to Christ in humble, dependent faith, and Jesus promises him, “Today you will be with Me in paradise.” His story is a powerful picture of the gospel: salvation is entirely by grace, and that grace is offered to sinners who recognize their need and cling to Christ alone.

  6. John 19:1-15 | When Jesus Goes Silent: Pilate's Tragic Decision - Jonny Ardavanis

    27 september 2026 · 41 min

In John 19:1–15, Jesus stands before Pilate beaten, mocked, and crowned with thorns. Yet in the midst of His humiliation, we see His glory revealed. The innocent Son of God willingly bears the curse, shame, and suffering that sinners deserve, fulfilling the plan of God and preparing to become the blameless sacrifice in our place. Lees meer

As Pilate wrestles with what to do with Jesus, the passage confronts us with the same question: What will we do with Jesus? Pilate knew Jesus was innocent, yet ultimately chose his position and reputation over Christ. The crowds rejected their true King, but Jesus continued toward the cross—the King who exchanged His crown of glory for a crown of thorns and bore our shame so that we might be clothed in His righteousness.

At the heart of it all is the love of God: He sent His Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

  7. John 18:28-40 | Barabbas & the King of Truth - Jonny Ardavanis

    20 september 2026 · 36 min

In John 18:28–40, Jesus stands before Pilate as the innocent King while the world around Him rejects the truth standing right in front of them. As Pilate wrestles with the question, “What is truth?” Jesus reveals that His kingdom is not of this world and that He came to testify to the truth. The truth is not merely something to understand—it is found in the person of Jesus Christ. Lees meer

The passage culminates in a striking picture of the gospel as the crowd chooses Barabbas, a guilty man, to go free while the sinless Christ is condemned. Barabbas walks away because another man takes his place—a picture of what Christ would accomplish for sinners at the cross. The guilty are set free because the innocent Son of God willingly takes their place.

  8. Romans 8:14-17 | The Spirit of Adoption - Brett Zamroz

What does it mean to truly live as a child of God? Lees meer

In Romans 8:14–17, Paul points us to the work of the Holy Spirit, who assures believers that they have been adopted into the family of God. Those who belong to Christ are no longer slaves living in fear, but sons and daughters who can confidently cry out, “Abba! Father!” We have been given a new relationship with God, a new identity, and the promise of an inheritance that is secure in Christ.

The Spirit’s work in our lives gives us assurance of our adoption as He leads us to put sin to death, frees us from the fear of condemnation, draws us into intimate fellowship with our Father, and gives us confidence in the glory that is still to come. Our hope is not wishful thinking, but a settled certainty rooted in the promises and character of God.

In this sermon, we’ll see how the Holy Spirit leads the children of God:

    1. Into Holiness — the Character of Sonship

    2. Into Freedom — the Confidence of Sonship

    3. Into Intimacy — the Communion of Sonship

    4. Into Hope — the Certainty of Sonship

Because of Christ, believers can know that they are loved, accepted, and secure in the family of God. We are His children, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, looking forward with certainty to the day when we will be glorified with Him.

  9. John 18:12-27 | Peter Denies Jesus - Jonny Ardavanis

    7 september 2026 · 39 min

    Afspelen
In John 18:12–27, two scenes unfold side by side. While Jesus stands firm before His accusers, Peter—the disciple who boldly claimed he would never deny Him—stands nearby and denies three times that he even knows Him. The contrast is striking: Jesus remains faithful in the face of suffering while Peter crumbles under pressure. Lees meer

Peter’s failure reminds us how quickly spiritual confidence, self-reliance, prayerlessness, and comfort can leave us vulnerable to temptation. If Peter could fall, so can we. But his story does not end with his denial. In the middle of Peter’s greatest failure, Jesus looks at him with mercy, goes to the cross to bear the punishment for his sin, and ultimately restores him to a life of purpose.

Peter’s story is a reminder that Jesus does not save and use people because they never fail. He saves sinners who desperately need His grace. Our weakness and failure do not place us beyond the mercy of Christ. The same Savior who forgives also restores, and He can use broken people for His glory and His purposes.

  10. John 18:2-14 | Jesus: Betrayed, Arrested, & Bound - Jonny Ardavanis

In John 18, the quiet of the garden is interrupted as Judas arrives with soldiers to arrest Jesus. But what unfolds is not the story of a helpless man overtaken by circumstances. Jesus knows exactly what is coming, steps forward willingly, and demonstrates that He remains completely in control. He is not coerced toward the cross—He willingly moves toward the very purpose for which He came. Lees meer

Even in the moments leading to His arrest, we see the character of Christ on display. He protects His disciples, shows mercy to His enemies, and willingly accepts the cup the Father has given Him. Jesus stands in the place of sinners, bearing the wrath they deserve so that those who believe in Him can receive grace, life, and joy.

    1. Judas' Betrayal

    2. Jesus' Power

    3. Jesus' Protection

    4. Jesus' Mercy

    5. Jesus' Mission

  11. John 18:1 | A Tale of Two Gardens - Jonny Ardavanis

As Jesus enters the Garden of Gethsemane, John brings us to the climax of his Gospel. Jesus is not caught off guard or reluctantly swept toward the cross. Knowing exactly what awaits Him, He deliberately moves toward His betrayal, arrest, and death—the true Passover Lamb willingly giving Himself for sinners. Lees meer

But the setting of a garden points us back to another garden. In Eden, sin brought death, separation, and exile from the presence of God. Now, in Gethsemane, Jesus comes as the second Adam to undo what the first Adam brought into the world. He moves toward the curse, abandonment, and judgment that sinners deserve so that our guilt can be removed, our sins forgiven, and what was lost in Eden can ultimately be restored.

In this sermon, we see the deliberate love of Christ as He moves toward the cross and begins to reverse the curse of the fall.

    Key Points:

    1. God's Initiative

    2. God's Location

  12. Proverbs 7 | How Does That Happen? - Harry Walls

    16 augustus 2026 · 48 min

    Afspelen
How do good people end up making choices they never thought they would make? Proverbs 7 gives us a sobering picture of the path to moral compromise and shows that failure rarely happens all at once. It begins when we become weak in the Word, fail to learn from life, leave our convictions unsettled, flirt with temptation, and underestimate the power and appeal of sin. Lees meer

In this sermon, we look at the warning signs that lead toward compromise and the practical steps we can take to guard our lives. Proverbs 7 challenges us to treasure the truth, cultivate non-negotiable convictions, pursue accountability, practice walking away from temptation, and seriously consider the consequences of our choices.

The question isn’t simply how someone else could fall—it’s whether we are building the kind of convictions today that will keep us from walking down the same path tomorrow.

    9 augustus 2026 · 41 min

What does it mean to be human, and what gives our lives meaning, value, and purpose? Psalm 8 answers those questions by first turning our attention away from ourselves and toward the God who made us. We cannot truly understand who we are until we understand who He is. Lees meer

Though we are small against the vastness of creation, we are not insignificant. The God who created and rules the heavens is mindful of us. He made us in His image, crowned humanity with glory and honor, and gave us a purpose within His creation.

Ultimately, Psalm 8 points us beyond ourselves to Jesus—the majestic God who took on humanity, came to save sinners, died, and rose again. In Him, we find the answer not only to “What is man?” but also to why we are here and where our hope is found.

    Key Points:

    1. The Majesty of God

    2. The Mindfulness of God

Psalm 51 records one of the darkest seasons in David's life, yet it also reveals the immeasurable mercy of God toward broken sinners. After attempting to silence his conscience and conceal his sin, David experienced the misery that always follows unrepentance. His story serves as both a warning and an invitation: a warning against hardening our hearts, and an invitation to find cleansing through genuine repentance. Lees meer

A calloused conscience doesn't happen overnight. It is formed one compromise, one excuse, and one act of disobedience at a time. In this message, we examine how sin hardens the heart, why a violated conscience brings misery, and why God's conviction is one of the greatest evidences of His grace.

In Conquering Love, we look at Romans 8:38–39 and the confidence every believer can have in Christ. While many wrestle with doubt, fear, and the question of whether they can lose their salvation, this passage gives a clear and powerful answer.

Paul walks through a series of questions that confront our deepest insecurities—who can stand against us, who can accuse us, who can condemn us, and ultimately, who can separate us from the love of Christ. The answer, grounded in the gospel, is clear: no one.

Because God did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us, our assurance is not based on how we feel or what we experience, but on what Christ has accomplished. His death paid for sin, His resurrection secured victory over death, and even now He intercedes for His people.

This sermon reminds us that even in suffering, opposition, or seasons of doubt, believers are not defeated—they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them.

Nothing in all creation can separate those who are in Christ from the love of God.

In this sermon, we turn to Isaiah 53—one of the most profound and prophetic passages in all of Scripture, written 700 years before the cross, yet describing the suffering and sacrifice of Christ with striking clarity. This chapter answers life’s most important question: how can sinful people be reconciled to a holy God? Lees meer

Walking verse by verse, we see the rejection of Christ, the depth of His suffering, and the weight of sin placed upon Him. Jesus, the sinless Lamb, was pierced, crushed, and punished—not for His own sins, but for ours. On the cross, He bore the full wrath of God, accomplishing what we never could: true and complete salvation.

This message reveals the heart of the gospel—substitution, sacrifice, and justification. We are not only forgiven, but declared righteous through Christ. The One who was despised and forsaken now shares the spoils of His victory with those He has redeemed.

At its core, this is a message about the love of God—a love demonstrated in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

In this message from Psalm 1 and Psalm 19, we explore the often overlooked priority of biblical meditation and the life-changing opportunity it provides. God’s Word is not merely something to read occasionally—it is meant to dwell richly within us as we intentionally internalize it, reflect on it, and apply it to our lives.

Scripture promises stability in storms, vitality in difficulty, fruitfulness in every season, and true spiritual prosperity. The Word of God restores, directs, protects, and satisfies the soul.

This sermon walks through a practical “day and night” rhythm for meditating on Scripture so that God’s Word becomes deeply rooted in our hearts and lived out in everyday life.

In a world that prizes acceptance and applause, Jesus offers a sobering promise: “If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you.” In this message from John 15:18–25, we confront a truth many would rather soften—following Christ comes with a cost. Lees meer

From the earliest days of the church to the present hour, those who have identified with Jesus have faced opposition, hostility, and persecution. But this is not accidental. It is not surprising. And it is not without purpose.

In this sermon, we examine why the world hates Christians. The answer is not found in personality, politics, or preference—but in allegiance to Christ. The world hates believers because they refuse to conform to its system. It hates the truth that exposes darkness. It resents the light that confronts sin. And ultimately, it rejects those who follow Christ because it does not know God.

Yet even in a hostile world, Jesus promises something extraordinary—His peace, His joy, His Spirit, and His love. The One who was hated first now strengthens His people to stand firm, speak truth, and remain faithful until the end.

    Key Points:

    1. Because Christians do not conform

    2. Because they hate the truth

    3. Because they love sin

    4. Because they don't know God

This is a call to courage, conviction, and unwavering allegiance to Christ in an age that increasingly resists Him.

Why do so many Christians struggle with temptation, doubt, insecurity, and a lack of spiritual strength? Why does victory in the Christian life often feel elusive? Lees meer

In this sermon, we return to one of the most foundational truths of the New Testament: identity. Scripture teaches that every person is born into one of two realities—in Adam or in Christ. By nature, we are united to Adam, sharing in sin, death, and condemnation. But through faith, God offers a radical transformation: a new identity, a new standing, and a new life in Christ.

Rather than calling us to self-effort or moral improvement, the gospel announces a decisive change of position. The first Adam brought death; the second Adam, Jesus Christ, brings life. This message traces that contrast through Romans, 1 Corinthians, Colossians, and beyond, showing how our union with Christ shapes assurance, holiness, and victory over sin.

If you are battling temptation, weighed down by guilt, or struggling to understand who you truly are as a believer, this sermon calls you back to the fundamentals—not what you must do, but who you already are in Christ.

    Key Points:

    1. In Adam

    2. In Christ

Whether you are seeking clarity, assurance, or new life, this message invites you to reckon the truth of the gospel and live in light of your identity in Christ.

In 2 Corinthians 12:15, the Apostle Paul offers one of the clearest and most compelling pictures of true love found in Scripture: a love that willingly spends and is spent for the good of others, even when that love is not returned. In a world filled with competing definitions of love—emotional, conditional, and transactional—this message invites us to measure love by a biblical standard rather than a cultural one. Lees meer

This sermon explores love as a settled conviction rather than a fleeting feeling. Paul’s declaration is not rooted in convenience, reciprocity, or personal gain, but in commitment, sacrifice, and Christlike resolve. His love becomes the foundation for trust, influence, and spiritual impact, revealing that true love is not about getting something from others, but giving oneself for their good.

Rooted in the example of Christ, this message reminds us that biblical love is supernatural in nature. It is not driven by what is deserved or returned, but by a heart transformed by the love of God. As we abide in Christ, His love is displayed through us, allowing others to see a God they cannot see through a love they deeply long for.

    Key points:

    1. Heartfelt resolution: an “I will” determination

    2. Others-centered passion: a “for you” at “my expense” action

    3. A Christlike reflection: “I will” even if you don’t… conviction
