We got into some really interesting topics including her growing up in apartheid South Africa, her opening up as a channel in her childhood, communication with star beings, the role of guidance and action, the power of free-will and freedom, and what she has learned over her years walking her path. It was a really fascinating conversation and I think you all will gain much from it. Hey everybody! Episode 106 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Luke Jensen. Luke and I practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu together where I met him. Luke is a former Marine and served in Afghanistan. He now works with brain mapping and neurofeedback and is integrating this work with plant medicines. We had a long conversation and got into some really interesting and I think deep topics about war, morality, his work with brain mapping, neuroplasticity, and neurogenesis, the role of masculinity, martial arts, and systems of power. “Luke served in the Marine Corps for 6 years and eventually deployed to Afghanistan for a year with an Airborne infantry unit. After his deployment Luke spent a number of years traveling and searching for his place in the world. His adventures took him to South America where he started working with Shamans and plant medicines. At the same time Luke started working with different neurotechnologies on himself and has spent almost ten years studying the topic. Finally, a few years ago serendipity allowed Luke to meet Dr Richard Soutar and both wanted to collaborate in combining plant medicine shamanism and with neurofeedback and QEEG brain mapping. Luke has been living off and on in Peru for the last five years, and has been involved in brain research along with plant medicines and shamanism. Luke passionately believes that neurotechnology combined with ancient practices can allow humans to reach elevated spiritual states and peak potentials that are almost boundless. To him, Neuro Enlightenment is a living manifestation of both further research into human consciousness and the vision to give people the tools to manifest their highest selves.”

Hey everybody! Episode 103 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Joan Parisi Wilcox. Joan is the author of a very good book that I read, Masters of the Living Energy: The Mystical World of the Q'ero of Peru, when I moved to and became interested in the Andean cosmovision. Joan has spent many years learning from a group of Andean wisdom keepers called the Qero nation. They consider themselves direct descendants of the Incas. They have a beautiful, simple, practical, nature-based cosmovison that I think is very relevant to the time we are living in. Joan has done a beautiful job at translating both the words, concepts, and worldview of the Qero, no easy feat! I really enjoyed speaking to Joan and having her share in her knowledge and wisdom. She is also the author of another book that I’d love to talk to her about another time, Ayahuasca: The Visionary and Healing Powers of the Vine of the Soul. There are many cosmovisions, many ways of looking at life and the nature of reality. Some may hold more true than others, some may hold more true for some and less for others. But being able to see the world in different ways is vital. Lees meer

Science is always changing. What was seen as ‘The Science’ 500 years ago is very different from 400 years ago and very different from today. The Science of 300 years ago is very different from The Science 200 years ago and today. And The Science of today will be very different from The Science of tomorrow and the future.

The idea that one group or class of people should control the narrative is, always has been, and always will be a very dangerous mentality. It has been used throughout time to create power structures that divide people and keep certain groups lower than others. It is used for power and control. It has led to class systems, systems of oppression, othering of peoples, and creating a class of people that can rule over and control others. This is happening today and it is important to stand on principle and morality and choose what is life-giving and not give into fear and divisiveness that uses power in harmful ways. Freedom and liberty are vitally important.

Questioning life is an essential part of life. It’s what allows us to evolve and grow and to learn. Seeing things from different sides is a sign of wisdom. Having hypotheses and putting them to the test is the very nature of science and of life. Science is not separate from life. This is the true scientific method, and it requires courage and also entails failing. Through this method we refine life and slowly move towards truth. Accepting things without questioning or suppressing voices is anti-science, it lays within the realm of dogma and religious fervor. And it’s why almost all of the breakthroughs of science come from visionaries, those who had courage to question reality and accepted dogma and through great vision, work, and often mockery, make change for …

“I was born 1966 in Germany and worked most of my life in the office of our family business. Since 2016 I have been self-employed as a spiritual consultant.

Even as a child, I have always been sensitive to energy. Born an empath, I often had difficulty to discern between my own feelings and those of the people around me. In order to understand how the universe works, I began studying holy scriptures at the age of 12. At the time, there was not a lot of esoteric books available. My career in energy work began with Reiki in my early twenties.

Reiki opened channels and connections to the spirit world. I stepped through this door into a greater universe and began my journey through many different spiritual approaches and healing modalities. Over time I have integrated techniques and information from many different sources, took what resonated with me and customized it to apply for the benefit of the Earth, nature and the people who come to me for help.

“From an early age, Linda has been initiated by elders, healers and shamans from around the world. She is the innovator of Empyrean Energy Work, Holographic Reflexology and Elemental Qi Gong. She channels high frequencies of Light from the Cosmos and Healing Love from the Great Mother through her voice and through her remote work. She is a passionate guide in healing our separation from Earth and in the reweaving of earth based culture. When I was 19 I received a very clear message that my life path was to be of service.

At 20 she had an accident that left me unable to walk. This was the first initiation on her path as a healer, and how she met her first teacher and regained the ability to walk.

Since that time healers, teachers and shamans from many places and many traditions have mentored and initiated her and the process continues to this day.

Her studies have called her to the far corners of Earth, from Vietnam to the High Andes, the Amazon Rainforest and beyond.

A near death experience in 2017 opened her capacity to channel the Light frequencies of the Cosmos and shortly after this she received a visitation by the Great M…

Hey everybody! Episode 90 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Dr. Alka Patel. Alka was introduced to me and she has a very good TED Talk which I’ll link to below. Alka is a medical doctor and through a series of personal experiences began to see that there were other ways she could better help her patients, thus beginning to incorporate other modalities into a more holistic approach. I think it’s wonderful when any type of doctor is open to learning and broadening their knowledge and I think Alka really embodies this emerging field of medicine. She has a beautiful presence and ability to share her wisdom. I think you all will enjoy this episode. “I have been a medical doctor for over 20 years and I began my professional career much like many. On a professional high, driven to build my career and find success. But this drive in my professional life meant I put my health on the backburner. Closed my eyes to the signs in front of me.

The result - a collision course with burnout that ended with me spending my birthday and weeks after in a hospital bed, close to shut down.

I found out the hard way that my career in isolation wasn’t supplying me with the energy, resilience, strength and happiness that I needed, and that prioritising my health was by far the most important thing I needed to do to help my career to flourish.

Creativity, productivity and longevity are all achieved when you give yourself the self-nourishment you need to feed your professional soul.

Despite working hard as a Dr to help people become healthy, I realised that healthcare was headed in the wrong direction. An over-reliance on medication as a cure for every illness and a dependence on doctors to wipe away symptoms was detracting from what really mattered.

With my shift in awareness, I discovered Lifestyle Medicine - an approach that focuses on the roo…

Alumnis was also doing a retreat right next door and so it seemed serendipitous. Alumnis is a Colombian teacher who works with the voice. We had a really fascinating conversation about the power of the voice, how it can be opened and truly found, its healing effects, the power of the word, and we touched a bit on plant medicines as well, especially as the voice and song are often an integral part of many traditions. Hey everybody! Episode 86 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with José López Sánchez. I have known José for a number of years since we both met working together at the Amazonian plant-medicine center the Temple of the Way of Light. I have worked extensively with his sisters and mother as well, Lila, Laura, and Ynes, who I also interviewed in previous episodes (see episodes 56 and 6). José is a highly-skilled and powerful Shipibo curandero, a doctor working with a traditional plant and energetic way of healing. He comes from a long line and family of healers and has been studying and working with plant medicines for a few decades now. In this episode, we talked about a number of subjects including his story, the Shipibos, ayahuasca, cosmovisions, and the importance of master plant dietas. José is quite special in that he has a mastery of both the Shipibo language as well as Spanish, and has worked with many Shipibos, mestizos, and foreigners. This ability to communicate this world of plant medicine and a knowledge of how different archetypal minds think is very unique and allows him to express sometimes esoteric or complex ideas in a language that a general public can easily understand and process. So I’m sure you all will learn a lot from José. Thank you to my friend Anne-Laure Vincke for the translation. Alonso has been immersed in this work for over forty years and is one of the first people I know to have worked with the Shipibo people. He owns a company supplying high-quality mushrooms to other companies and has lived, breathed, and studied mushrooms and all of their benefits. It also probably helped that he was a martial artist, so I liked that!. I have learned a great deal from Ernesto over the years, not just in terms of how to work with plants and what it means to be a good doctor, but also from his presence, and what it means to be a good man and to walk the path of someone who carries medicine. Hey everybody! Episode 72 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Jeremy Narby. I was familiar with Jeremy for many years ever since the release of his popular book, The Cosmic Serpent. Jeremy recently released a new book, co-written with Rafael Chanchari Pizuri, called Plant Teachers: Ayahuasca, Tobacco, and the Pursuit of Knowledge. It’s a very good read and speaks about two plants that I have worked closely with: ayahuasca and tobacco. There has been a lot of literature released in the last decade about ayahuasca, but very little about tobacco, a plant in some ways equal to, and in some regards, more widely viewed as medicine than ayahuasca. I was very happy to hear that Jeremy had released a book talking about tobacco, because I feel there is a need for more clarity on this highly regarded plant medicine, and Jeremy is a great person to begin to speak about it. I really enjoyed this conversation with Jeremy, listening to some of his stories, hearing his perspective on ayahuasca and tobacco, and having him speak about the new book. Hey everybody! Episode 61 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Alex Ecklin. Alex and I met about a decade ago when we were both students of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the great Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro in New York City. Alex went on to compete, medaling in world championships, teaching under Shaolin, and eventually opening his own school in Brooklyn, and now Manhattan, Masterskya. I have a lot of respect for Alex in how he carries himself, as a jiujitsu practitioner, as a teacher, and as a man. In this conversation, we talked about martial arts, jiujitsu, muay Thai, MMA, plant medicines, life, and the tao. I really enjoyed talking to Alex and I think and trust you all will also. "Alex Ecklin and Van Allen Floreslead the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program in Masterskya. Together, they assembled a team of like-minded, passionate instructors to work alongside them to achieve their vision and dream of providing honest, highest level training possible that is accessible to anyone. Alex and Van attained their Black Belts under BJJ + MMA legend Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro, and have been training together for over a decade. They taught at the Manhattan academy together for many years, and later individually when Alex taught in Coban’s Muay Thai Camp and Van at UFC Gym in Soho.

Hey everybody! Episode 60 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend John Keegan. John and I have been friends for a long time and we originally met in an acting class with the great Thomas G. Waites. John went on to take his improvisational skills to the streets to hone the art of meeting and connecting with people. He now teaches the art of connection, conversation, interaction, and relationships to people around the world. In my work, relationships are often one of the main goals people are looking to work on and also carry a lot of fear and trauma around. So it was great to have John share in his light-hearted wisdom on how we can improve this aspect of our lives. He draws heavily on his experience of flows states and being in the Now. I hope and trust you all will get a lot out of this episode. As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy! "Before John became a dating coach, he discovered that the playfulness and spontaneity are lacking in almost all social interactions. This epidemic transcends gender and socio-economic class. It's as common in society as it is dysfunctional, as ubiquitous among people as it is counter-productive to their core desires.

His mission as a dating coach is to break this literal pattern, embrace the unexpected, transcend the paradigm, and evolve beyond the social and spiritual mediocrity of society at large.

Beyond the expected is a world of the spontaneous, the creative, even the spiritual realm of connecting with friends and lovers we have yet to meet. It's John’s mission, to share his findings of this world of new possibilities with those who have yet to experience it.”

Hey everybody! Episode 58 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Will Pye. Will and I met many years ago when we both came down as guests to the Amazonian plant medicine center, The Temple of the Way of Light. I found myself in many discussions with Will over meals, and I knew and saw he had a great mind with a lot to share. I was fascinated by his journey of being diagnosed with a brain tumor, and how that was shaping and opening him to see life in unfolding ways. Will has a beautiful ability to draw upon many spiritual traditions and find meaning and clarity around them. We got into a quite deep philosophical discussion about many topics around spiritual traditions including plant medicines, and just about life in general. I had no doubt this conversation would go long, and I think you all will get a lot out of this episode as Will has a truly special mind.
