Supervox + other circle 006: Karl-Oskar Olsen
5 november 2026 · 23 min
From Wood Wood to Pas Normal Lees meer
Karl-Oskar joins us at other circle in Copenhagen to talk about his Swedish name, chosen after Max von Sydow’s character in Utvandrarna, his childhood between Sweden and Denmark, and how that connection still runs through his family.
He shares his path from graduating the Danish Royal Academy of Design in 2002 to co-founding Wood Wood as a creative platform blending street culture, graphics and global city influences, and later launching Pas Normal Studios to bring his cycling background into performance apparel.
He reflects on learning through mistakes, framing creativity, and building a company with clear roles alongside co-founder Peter. We also talk about balancing function with style, the brand’s distinctive color DNA, the realities of materials like GORE-TEX, why brands can’t “own” community, and the thinking behind collaborations like Pas Normal x Salomon.

Supervox + other circle 005: Fredrik Paulsen
28 oktober 2026 · 33 min
Design Is People Lees meer
He traces his path from a potter grandfather’s DIY inventiveness and a skateboarding childhood in rural Skåne to cabinet-making school in Grebbestad, furniture design at Beckmans, and the Royal College of Art in London, where gallery culture shaped his thinking.
Back in Stockholm he created Örnsbergsauktionen, part group show, auction and party, which helped kickstart a collectible design scene by building the context he felt was missing. We discuss interiors like Omnipollo’s brewery in a former church, using colour as a three-dimensional material to highlight architecture and construction, and his modular Joy Objects system in aluminium and acrylic, designed from his own vision of a holistic product and brand language.
In Copenhagen Fredrik Paulsen talks about Other Circle as a family-like meeting point and why, for him, the main function of design is people, life and the context around objects. He also shares a one-off collaboration with Emma Clarke, combining Joy Objects aluminium frames with her experimental wood, urushi lacquer and washi-based seats and backs.
There is no doubt Fredrik’s appetite for bringing people together guides him in whatever he lays his hands on.

Photographer Zanele Muholy and Hasselblad Award 2026 recipient
21 oktober 2026 · 41 min
A conversation between South African photographer and visual activist Zanele Muholi and Astrid Birnbaum, recorded in Stockholm inside Faces and Phases: The Stockholm Edition at Eva Livijns Art Space (curated by Ulrika Flink), alongside a larger presentation at the Hasselblad Center in Gothenburg. Lees meer
Muholi reflects on receiving the Hasselblad Award 2026 as recognition for the communities whose stories they’ve documented, and traces an artistic journey shaped by township life under apartheid, activism, and the need for respectful, positive representation.
They discuss why “any space is a space” if collaborators are safe and respected, and how showing work in a home can feel warmer and less intimidating than institutions.
Muholi shares how Faces and Phases formally grew from personal and collective loss, expands through international collaborations including Black Queer Sweden, and explains Somnyama Ngonyama as self-portraiture, healing, ancestry, and language, where titles arrive through meaning, memory, and time.

Nicolai Nørregaard, Kadeau: Crafting three stars
20 oktober 2026 · 24 min
The plates are designed by him. So is the glasware. Lees meer
Nicolai Nørregaard designs a new set of ceramics every year with people he has known for a long time. The glassware is made inhouse too. We went to Copenhagen for a chat with him in the test kitchen at Kadeau. This is a talk about craft and about a chef who refuses to stay in the kitchen.
He just got his third Michelin star. We wanted to know what really goes on behind it.
It starts on the walls. Old dishes stay up as a reference library. The menu changes twice a year and every new idea has to stand next to what came before. It is a hard cycle and he runs it without shortcuts.
Nicolai is CEO and creative director. He shapes the flavor, the plating and the room around it. In collaboration with V1 Gallery, artists come to Bornholm for residencies and their work is installed in the restaurant with the seasons.
Twice a year it all shifts together. Food, plates, glass, art and interiors. A new feeling every time, but always rooted in the island.
Bornholm is where it comes from. Smokehouses, preservation, gardens and a deep craft tradition. Cooking became his fastest way to make something. You can taste it right away.

Meeting Patrick Müller
18 mei 2026 · 35 min
Scrolling through Instagram one day, I stopped at a photo of a renovated house in Switzerland. What made me pause was the material palette and the way the design turned something quite ordinary into something special. That image led me here. Lees meer
Patrick Müller is Swiss-born, now based in Sweden, and the founder of Ductus. He started out in his father's sawmill, went on to study architecture, and by chance ended up working with Ben Gorham on the early interiors of Byredo. Now he runs a practice where Swiss and Swedish ways of thinking about creativity find their own distinct place.
In this episode we talk about the similarities and differences between the architecture profession in Switzerland and Sweden. The differences turned out to be bigger than the similarities, and that surprised me.
Arch Vox is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.

Samuel Charles Barratt
16 april 2026 · 19 min
"-3,996 traffic cones, which is a lot less than the original sketch. Originally I think it was like 10,000 or something." Lees meer
Almost 4000 traffic cones, suspended from steel scaffolding, turned the Charlottenborg courtyards into something else entirely for CHART Art Fair 2025. The installation was called Re-Route, and it was the winning proposal for CHART Public, a new concept introduced this year combining a total installation with the fair's public programme.
The man behind it is Samuel Charles Barratt, a young British architect based in Denmark who trained in some of the world's most unforgiving climates. His design transformed standard Danish traffic cones, everyday symbols of construction and caution, into an overhead canopy that reframed how you moved through and experienced the space. Built entirely from reusable materials, everything returned to its original use after the fair.
We were lucky enough to broadcast live from underneath Re-Route throughout the whole weekend. At some point we pulled Samuel aside and asked him to walk us through the thinking behind it. How the idea came together, what the cones meant to him, and what it felt like to see it realised in that courtyard. This is that conversation.

Meeting Johan Dehlin (on Frank Gehry)
7 maart 2026 · 36 min
In late 2025, Frank Gehry passed away. Ten years earlier, in 2015, Johan Dehlin, an architect and architecture photographer, took off to California on a book project. He wanted to visit and photograph some of the buildings Frank Gehry designed in the 70s and 80s. This period of Gehry's work was all about exploring vernacular design, or as Frank himself described his own architecture: cheapskate. It took Johan another ten years before the book was finally released in June 2025, just months before Frank passed away. Lees meer
I met with Johan and we talked about him being an architect, about how he became a photographer of buildings, and then we did a deep dive into his book Five Buildings by Frank Gehry. We talked about the specific designs of each building, the struggle to get access to them, and Johan's personal experiences of being inside every one of them.
About your host, Richard Feigin
Architecture caught me in my teens and has never let go. At 15 I bought my first book on the subject and flicked through the pages so many times I knew the buildings by heart. This podcast is a direct result of that deep interest in architecture.

Meeting Thomas Sandell
17 februari 2026 · 29 min
When did Thomas Sandell first realize he wanted to become an architect? Lees meer
Welcome to Arch Vox, the podcast on all things architecture. In this first episode, I sat down with Thomas Sandell, one of the most recognized Swedish architects of our time.
He moves freely between designing houses, shoes, furniture, and interiors. It may seem like a given now, but Thomas's first year at architecture school in Stockholm was far from successful.
What struck me most during our conversation was his curiosity and openness, perhaps the very qualities that make adding joy to his designs one of his signatures.
I'm Richard Feigin, editor of this podcast and founder of Super Vox. Architecture has been in my life since I was 15, when I started collecting books on the topic. I did an internship at an architecture firm at 18, and ever since, I've continued exploring this fascinating field.
