Show Notes:
Commander is famously a casual format, so it’s easy to handwave some of the more complicated rules when it comes to stuff like the stack and priority in a 4-player pod. But if you’re looking to take your gameplay to the next level, understanding these rules isn’t just helpful, it’s essential. This time, we’re running back a classic episode featuring our friend and L2 judge Danny Simard to help explain some of those intricacies, and most importantly, how you can benefit from them strategically to have more fun and win more games!

Do We Need the “Banned as a Commander” Rule Back? | 644
5 december 2024 · 1 uur 48 min

This episode, we discuss the pros and cons of reinstating that controversial rule, going over the potential impact to the format, the cards and strategies that would be most affected, and asking the question: “Is it worth it?”

Let’s Talk About the Bans | Bonus Episode
26 september 2024 · 1 uur 6 min
This is the episode you’ve been waiting for: We’re talking about the bans. Lees meer
This week’s ban announcement – removing Dockside Extortionist, Jeweled Lotus, Mana Crypt, and Nadu from the format – took the Commander community by storm. So in this special episode, JLK and Rachel sit down to hash out their thoughts on these controversial bans (except Nadu, that one’s fine).
