Another Sunday, another fresh mix. To be honest, I’m feeling really good about where things are at right now—I’ve managed to keep up with the weekly release schedule for a while now, and I finally finished a brand-new track! After being stuck in a creative rut for so long, getting back into the flow feels like magic.

The other day, a YouTube channel reached out asking for permission to use some of my music, and they threw a pretty funny question my way: "Do you use AI to make your music?" It honestly made me laugh—if I were using AI, I definitely wouldn’t go three months without releasing anything!

I’m planning to sneak a preview of that new track into the next mix, so stay tuned. In the meantime, for some strange reason, I’ve gotten totally hooked on Elite Dangerous. It’s a bit random, but flying through space has actually been helping me unwind.

While putting together this week's mix, I was looking through my "Best of Bamf Radio" playlist and noticed I had a lot of great tracks from the golden age of lo-fi. I thought, "There are artists who have disappeared but left behind real gems," so I decided to bring back music from back when this show first started. The worst thing for an artist is to be forgotten, and that’s not what we do here, right?

Including tracks from previous years gives long-time listeners a chance to say, "Hey, I know this song!" — creating a much stronger sense of nostalgia and connection.

How are you all doing? I'm doing well; I've just added a fourth mix in four weeks, and I haven't burned out yet, so it feels great.

On another note, I realized I had gradually stopped making music, and the funny thing is, I figured out why: I hadn't been listening to any music at all during that time. That’s why my comeback feels a bit lighter—I’m finally getting back to normal after being "switched off" for so long.

In the meantime, I’m mostly playing Wardogs while I wait for WoW Forever (I refuse to pay €60 just to play a beta). I swear, some companies seem to think we just mint money out of thin air. It makes sense, I guess; since the money keeps rolling in for them, they lose touch with reality.

I see you all gradually checking out the Discord server more and more—it makes me really happy to see that.

A few months ago, I hit a strange slump. I got so overwhelmed and down that I didn't want to do anything anymore. I kept asking myself, "Why keep doing this if everything ends up the same?" or "Is this really worth it?" I got stuck in a loop—letting everything fall apart and just going with the flow for a bit. Too many things aligned at once, and I simply couldn't handle it all.

In the end, I realized that you can't control everything. If you step back, look at the big picture, and fix things one by one, life doesn't have to be so bad. Stop stressing over things beyond your control and stop living in the past.

That’s why I’m here now. If you’re reading this, it means I’m fixing this part of my life. I’m back and stronger than ever. If you find yourself going through something similar, try tackling one thing at a time—it makes everything feel less overwhelming.

I'm back with another mix, and I wanted to be completely transparent with you. You might notice some advertising at the beginning and end of this episode, and there’s a reason for it.

I’ve been creating this show since 2018. As many of you know, I’ve faced several challenges with hosting providers in the past—including being banned from Anchor for no reason. I’ve finally found a host that works, but unlike before, this hobby now comes with significant out-of-pocket costs.

Years ago, record labels offered to buy this show. If I had accepted, I’d be set for life, but it came with strings attached: playing only what they wanted and losing my creative freedom. I chose to stay independent.

The advertising you hear now is what allows me to keep the show alive, pay for professional hosting, and improve the sound quality (which you’ll definitely notice in this mix). I promise: no ads in the middle of the music. They will only be at the start and the end. I’d rather do this than ask you directly for money; it’s my way of keeping the show sustainable while staying true to the music and the independent artists I support.
