Back in August, Grown Ass Men had the great opportunity to visit the Society of Illustrators in NYC (https://www.societyillustrators.org) for the Spiderman original art exhibit. The private collection focused on John Romita Sr's incredible art but there were also gems by Steve Ditko, Gil Kane, Ross Andru and other well known artists. We brought honorary GAM Sam Mastandrea along and like proper comic geeks we had a great time checking out the art we know and love so well. He joined the Marvel Comics Bullpen in the early 70's and went on to pen some of the greatest stories in comics. Besides his classic work on Iron Fist, New Mutants, Batman, Fantastic Four and others, he basically elevated the rebooted X-Men team to the most popular in comics.
