Our 2012 retrospective is officially over. For our final throwback podcast review, we discuss Ben Affleck's Best Picture-winning film "Argo," starring himself, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Scoot McNairy, Victor Garber & Kyle Chandler. Based on a true story, the film blends politics, thrills, and insider Hollywood humor to create a rousing story that captivated audiences and Academy voters, resulting in three Oscar wins, including Best Picture. What do we think of the film ten years later? Join me, Eve O'Dea, Dan Bayer & Danilo Castro as we discuss the film's writing, comedy, politics, acting, the infamous awards season run (including that famous Ben Affleck snub in Best Director), and more. You can also check out all of our previous 2012 retrospective reviews for "Zero Dark Thirty," "Skyfall," "Amour," "Beasts Of The Southern Wild," "Django Unchained," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Life Of Pi" & "Lincoln" if you have not done so already. Please check out your winners for the 2012 NBP Film Community Awards if you haven't done so already, and stay tuned for the NBP Team's winners, which will be revealed on August 21st, 2022. Thank you for all of your support throughout the retrospective. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Himesh was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking with us about what it was like working on the show, how he felt about his Emmy nomination, what it was like becoming a father during production, his feelings towards his leading role in Danny Boyle's "Yesterday" and if he would like to one day tackle the iconic role of James Bond. Our 2012 retrospective is coming to an end this month. Our second to last throwback podcast review is Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln," starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook & Tommy Lee Jones. Written by Tony Kushner, the film was a perfect merger of writer, actor, and director coming together to present an iconic figure in American history but finding ways to humanize him and showcase the most important period of his life rather than telling us a traditional biopic. The film received 12 Oscar nominations and won 2, including a third historic Best Actor win for Daniel Day-Lewis. How does the film hold up a decade later? Tune in as we discuss the screenplay, acting by the enormous ensemble, Spielberg's craftsmanship, and more. Joining me for this review, I have Nicole Ackman, Josh Parham, Sara Clements, Dan Bayer & Danilo Castro. You can also check out all of our previous 2012 retrospective reviews for "Zero Dark Thirty," "Skyfall," "Amour," "Beasts Of The Southern Wild," "Django Unchained," "Silver Linings Playbook" & "Life Of Pi" if you have not done so already. How do the two films compare? What did we think of the performances, writing, and crafts? We discuss all of these points and more in our review, which you can listen to down below.
