2:00 7 foods with no sugar or carbs

5:05 Countering the effects of sugar with the healthiest foods

The average person in the US consumes 67% of their calories in the form of carbohydrates. There are three types of carbohydrates: sugar, fiber, and starch. Starch is often worse than sugar!

There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. It’s often thought that the brain needs glucose, but the brain can also run on ketones. Your body can produce all the glucose you need from non-carbohydrate sources.

Here are 7 foods with no carbs and zero sugar to add to your diet today:

    1. Fat

The healthiest choices are butter, ghee, cod liver oil, olive oil, and coconut oil. Fats have zero carbs, so they do not spike insulin. High insulin is behind most chronic illnesses.

    2. Meat

Choose high-quality beef, pork, lamb, chicken, or fish for healthy foods with no sugar and no carbs.

    3. Organ meats

Meat and organ meat are the most nutrient-dense foods, with virtually no carbs and no sugar.

    4. Eggs

Eggs have virtually zero sugar and carbs. Egg yolks contain the active form of vitamin A, choline, B vitamins, trace minerals, and essential nutrients for the eyes.

    5. Shellfish

Shellfish contain an insignificant amount of carbs and are packed with nutrients and trace minerals like selenium and zinc.

    6. Raw cheese

Raw cheese is an excellent source of protein and contains many important nutrients such as calcium and phosphorus. Sheep or goat cheese is best.

    7. Vegetables

    Watercress, mushr…

Cancer is a unique disease and has the following characteristics:

    1. Heterogeneous

    2. Sick and living on the edge

    3. Metabolically inflexible

    4. Originates from damaged mitochondria

Insulin resistance is one of the most significant contributors to cancer risk. Insulin resistance can lead to metabolic inflexibility. Cancer also migrates to areas of inflammation.

Microbiome disruption damages the microbes that protect the body against cancer. Toxicity caused by alcohol, smoking, and pesticides can also increase the risk of cancer.

When you combine these risk factors, you significantly increase your risk of developing cancer.

Colon cells get their fuel from a compound called butyrate, which is produced when a microbe consumes fiber. Butyrate strengthens the colon's lining, supports its function, and has potent anti-inflammatory properties. Fiber has protective properties against cancer, but if your gut microbiome is compromised, it can make matters worse.

The more advanced the cancer you have, the more you’ll need to do prolonged fasting. This stresses the cancer cells and deprives them of fuel. The fasting-mimicking diet is also beneficial. If you haven’t been diagnosed with cancer, periodic prolonged fasting can help with prevention. High do…

Burning feet is known as neuropathy, and is typically classified as a disease of the nerves. But the tingling, burning, and numbness in your feet is not a nerve problem!

The real problem behind burning feet is the blood vessels supplying the nerves. Blood vessels supply the nerves with fuel, oxygen, and nutrients, and without this, they become very irritated. The root cause of the problem is your blood sugar. Years of high blood glucose destroy your circulation.

It may seem counterintuitive that there would be a shortage of fuel at the nerve level despite an excess in the blood, but this is the basis of insulin resistance. For relief of burning feet, it’s vital to address insulin resistance rather than just managing the symptoms.

There are many mitochondria in the nervous system. They act as the engines that take in fuel and power the nerves. If you have access to the mitochondria, you get 32 units of energy currency per glucose molecule. As a survival mechanism, your body utilizes glycolysis, which generates significantly less energy. This process also produces toxic byproducts, which can irritate your nerves.

Vitamin B1 can help you switch from glycolysis back to generating energy from the mitochondria. This is because high blood glucose levels deplete vitamin B1 in your tissues.

Vitamin B1 is normally water-soluble, which won’t effectively penetrate the nerve. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 that can help fix burning feet, eliminate toxic byproducts of glycolysis, and reduce other complications associated with diabetes. It also helps support the nerves in the eyes, kidn…

5:48 Avoiding frequent urination at night

    7:05 How to sleep better

If you’re dealing with frequent urination at night, the problem is not your bladder. Waking up to pee, even just once, can wreck your sleep and wreak havoc on your health.

Some of the consequences of poor sleep are as follows:

    • Slower metabolism

    • Increased cortisol

    • Increased risk of type 2 diabetes

    • Insulin resistance

    • Increased risk of high blood pressure

    • Decreased ability to detoxify the brain

    • Poor mood, anxiety, and depression

    • Decreased cognitive function, focus, and memory

    • Lower testosterone

    • Feeling tired all day

Approximately 1 in 5 men and 1 in 4 women in the U.S. get up at least once or twice to urinate every night, and aging is not the problem!

Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) plays a crucial role in preventing excessive urination. A problem with this hormone affects water balance, causing you to produce more urine, especially at night. Too much salt and not enough potassium, blood sugar issues, and insulin resistance all affect ADH and can cause you to produce more urine to eliminate excess salt and sugar.

Other factors that affect ADH include:

    • Caffeine

    • Sugar/starch

    • Excess protein

    • Alcohol

Vitamin B1 and magnesium are key nutrients involved with bladder control. If you’re dealing with nighttime urination and only a small volume of urine comes out, suspect a deficiency in one of these nutrients.

7:19 Why are Brazil nuts so high in selenium?

    9:20 Selenium toxicity

Eating two Brazil nuts daily is one of the cheapest ways to create a massive impact on your health. Many of the foods we eat deplete selenium, but just two Brazil nuts per day provide 1000% of the RDA. That’s around 135 to 180 mcg of selenium.

Selenium is a trace mineral that works in conjunction with enzymes to support hair growth. It increases the protein in hair called keratin. However, that’s not all. Selenium also offers significant immune system benefits!

Selenium is vital for fertility and protects the cells in the testicles that produce testosterone and sperm. It also supports the health of the ovaries.

Selenium supports the T-helper cell, which is vital for the function of your immune system. Without sufficient selenium, you become highly vulnerable to infections, pathogens, cancer, and other immune system issues. Selenium also supports the TH1/TH2 ratio, helps control immune reactions, and helps to prevent autoimmune diseases. A deficiency in both vitamin D and selenium can have serious consequences for your immune system.

Selenium helps build up glutathione, the body's master antioxidant. This potent antioxidant protects the liver and membranes in the body.

The selenium in Brazil nuts has even more benefits and supports the following:

    • Skin health

    • Normal insulin production

    • Liver health

    • Mitochondrial health and function

    • Anxiety prevention

    1. 100 vitamins a day

I thought that the solution to chronic fatigue syndrome, severe insomnia, arthritis, and other chronic illnesses was to just take more supplements. Vitamins and supplements will only be effective if you also maintain a healthy diet.

    2. Colon detox

A colon detox also flushes out good bacteria and electrolytes, and often involves juice. You shouldn’t do any cleanse or fasting program that involves juice, as the body can’t get into ketosis because of the sugar. Herbal detoxes release toxicity, which creates an immune reaction, leaving you sick for weeks. Get on the right eating plan, focusing on animal protein, vegetables, and probiotics for better gut health.

The new dietary guidelines for Americans will improve the food in schools, hospitals, nursing homes, the military, and more. These updated guidelines will require a complete overhaul of the supply chains!

For over 40 years, the foundation of our food pyramid was whole grains. It was recommended that we consume 6 to 11 servings of grains every single day.

This change isn’t based on mere opinion; the data has been accumulating for years. Ultra-processed foods are now being targeted as the primary driver of 90% of chronic disease. For decades, ultra-processed food companies were protected by silence, but not anymore.

Let’s take a look at the old recommendations and see how they compare to the updated dietary recommendations:

    • 6-11 servings of carbohydrates

    • Low fat

    • Low cholesterol

    • Low saturated fats

    • Focus on calories

    • 0.8 grams of protein per kg of body weight

    Updated diet recommendations:

    • Inverted food pyramid

    • Reduce ultra-processed foods

    • Increase animal-based protein

    • 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight

The protein increase alone can significantly improve your biochemistry, hormones, blood sugar, and more.

They are now working on a definition for ultra-processed food. Whoever controls the definition controls the outcome. By focusing on the biological definition of food, that which is eaten to sustain life; promote the growth and repair of tissues; nourishment, anything that doesn’t fit this definition would not be classified as food.

There’s one missing piece to the updated dietary recommendations: the root cause of chronic disease. Insulin resistance may be indirectly affected by these changes, but it may not be sufficient for …

5:57 Natural ways to boost energy

    6:34 Quitting coffee

Coffee does not wake you up! Here’s how it works. Caffeine has a similar chemistry to a compound called adenosine, which is a byproduct of ATP, the body’s energy currency. It can bind to the adenosine receptor and inhibit the signals that regulate sleep. This isn’t really giving you the energy you need!

There is often a withdrawal period when you quit coffee. Here’s what to expect:

Days 1 and 2 Within 16 hours of quitting coffee, you may experience a headache caused by a decrease in dopamine.

Days 3 to 5Irritability peaks, but you’ll likely have fewer coffee cravings as dopamine adapts. You may crave other things, such as sugar or fatty foods.

Days 6 and 7At this point, you may notice that you’re sleeping better. Cortisol levels drop.

Days 8 to 10 Your mood improves, and you’re no longer experiencing crashes.

Days 11 to 14Cognitive function improves.

Days 15 to 21 Dopamine levels have returned to nearly normal.

Days 22 to 30This is when you’ll notice the full benefits of quitting coffee. Your energy levels should be noticeably improved.

    8:55 Vitamin D deficiency explained

We’ve been told that 600 IU of vitamin D is enough, but how much do we really need?

In 2014, a group of researchers reanalyzed the data used to set the current vitamin D RDA. They found that instead of 600 IU per day, we actually need 8895 IU of vitamin D every day!

This recalculation was confirmed by other independent research; yet, to this day, it has been completely ignored.

“Forbidden Facts” by Gavin de Becker exposes some of the health controversies surrounding the Institute of Medicine. They’re viewed as the top scientific authority that is supposed to protect us, but who are they really trying to protect?

Vitamin D isn’t just for your bones. It’s vital for your immune system, muscles, brain, mood, cognitive function, metabolic function, and more. Your risk of cancer even increases when you’re low.

Why haven’t they corrected this vitamin D mistake? Not only have they not corrected it, but they’ve also become insistent on maintaining the recommended vitamin D dosage as is. We need significantly more than 600 IU of vitamin D!

Vitamin D blood levels do not reflect the vitamin D in your cells. The standard of 20 ng/mL is not enough. Although this number is often debated, you need around 50 to 80 ng/mL to potentially ensure you have enough vitamin D in your cells. Vitamin D toxicity is extremely rare, and the risks can be mitigated by magnesium, vitamin K2, and increased water intake.

5:45 How to use a neti pot

8:36 More tips to reduce respiratory mucus

Most people with sinus issues and respiratory mucus have inflammation, but it’s usually not caused by an infection. When you treat chronic respiratory conditions with medication, you suppress the symptoms, causing the problem to linger. Antibiotics will only work if the problem is caused by bacteria, so they won’t be helpful if your congestion is caused by a viral infection, mold, or fungus.

Deep inside the sinuses are tiny hairs called cilia. Beneath the cilia are mucus membranes, which are likely inflamed if you have excess mucus. When the body detects a foreign invader, it increases histamines, which create more mucus.

Salt creates an osmotic shift, which means it can dehydrate mucus and directly destroy bacteria, mold, yeast, and fungus. It also has a mucolytic effect, so it thins and breaks down mucus directly, making it easier to eliminate.

If your sinus problem is chronic, it may be caused by a fungal infection. If it only occurs during the winter months, suspect a vitamin D deficiency. In this case, you may want to try taking 50,000 IU of vitamin D per day, with vitamin K2 and magnesium.

There are several ways to reduce mucus with salt. You can use salt water in a neti pot or inhale steam directly from a regular pot after boiling salt water. Use Himalayan sea salt instead of table salt. Garlic oil applied to a Q-tip and swabbed insi…

7:21 The best slim waist tips

If you’re on a low-carb diet, exercising regularly, yet still struggling with waist size, this is for you.

There are 7 fat-burning hormones that are triggered by factors such as exercise and diet. These hormones are countered by 2 other dominant hormones, cortisol and insulin. In the presence of these two hormones, fat-burning hormones will not work!

Cortisol isn’t just a stress hormone! It’s also a fat-storing hormone, specifically at night. If your cortisol is too high at night, you will not burn fat while you’re sleeping.

Insulin is a fat-storing hormone that stops fat-burning hormones from working. High cortisol can cause your body to produce glucose, consequently spiking insulin.

If you’re struggling with weight loss, especially belly fat, discipline and willpower aren’t the problem. You can’t lose weight while under stress!

Lemon balm tea is one of the best weight loss drinks! It contains rosmarinic acid, which increases GABA. To improve the benefits, consume lemon balm tea with 1 scoop of magnesium glycinate powder, 60 minutes before bed. Magnesium glycinate helps lower cortisol levels and also increases GABA and insulin sensitivity.

Here are a few other tips to help you lose belly fat:

    •No snacking

•No liquids 90 minutes before bed

    •Lower carbohydrate intake

    •Daily walks in the sun

•Write down problems before bed to avoid problem-solving/overthinking while trying to sleep

How do you determine which foods make up a healthy diet, and which should be avoided? The unhealthiest foods spike insulin levels, leading to insulin resistance, which is commonly at the root of chronic illness. Simply put, foods that lower insulin are good, and foods that raise insulin are bad.

Here are 7 of the healthiest foods that you should eat every single day:

    1. Sauerkraut

Raw sauerkraut is a rich source of beneficial microbes and one of the most potent probiotics. It is high in fiber, low in carbs, and has the highest amount of vitamin C of any food. Sauerkraut is rich in glutamine, vitamin K2, vitamin U, and phytonutrients like sulforaphane.

    2. Arugula

This vegetable is low in oxalates, high in nitric oxide, and supports the endothelial layer of the arteries.

    3. Wild-caught salmon

Wild-caught fatty fish are the best source of omega-3 fatty acids. Salmon is rich in selenium, which helps bind to mercury and remove it from the body, so you don’t have to worry about mercury when you consume it.

    4. Cod liver

Cod liver has the most omega-3 fatty acids of any food and is a potent source of healthy fat.

    5. Hamburger

Grass-fed ground beef is one of the best superfoods there is! It’s loaded with B vitamins, zinc, iron, carnosine, creatine, and other essential nutrients. Opt for organic ground beef with a higher fat content for maximum benefits.

    6. Brazil nuts

Brazil nuts contain the highest amount of selenium of any food, which is essential for healthy thyroid and immune function. Selenium protects the reproductive system and also helps prevent hair loss.

    7. Extra-virgin olive oil

This healthy fat helps extract phytonutrients from your salad. It is bene…

Bad posture is really an issue with your fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds the entire body, and adapts to whatever position you’re in most of the time.

Try this easy home workout to fix bad posture fast! The first exercise can be done with a band, broomstick, or pole. This exercise opens the ribs and the fascia on the front part of the chest, which helps create more space and relieve tension in the fascia.

4:06 Itchy skin and liver disease

5:16 Swollen abdomen and liver problems

    6:57 Reversing liver damage

8:22 How to improve liver health quickly

Your liver is the hardest-working organ in your body, and the only major organ that can completely regenerate.

Here are 7 liver warning signs that may indicate liver damage before the issue becomes too severe.

    1. Waking up between 2 and 3 a.m.

A dysfunctional liver causes excessive blood sugar swings at night. A steep drop in blood sugar while you’re sleeping spikes adrenaline, which will wake you up.

    2. Right shoulder pain

When the liver is damaged, bile production slows down, leading to sluggish and clogged bile ducts. This can cause referred pain in the right shoulder.

    3. Bruise easily

The liver makes clotting factors, so if it’s damaged, you may find that you bruise more easily.

    4. Itching

Itching at night, particularly on the bottom of the feet and other parts of the body, can be caused by excess bile that backs up in the liver.

    5. Low tolerance to alcohol

People with liver problems can not efficiently break down alcohol, which causes more toxicity in the body.

    6. Fat belly/skinny legs

A protruding belly is usually caused by an advanced form of liver damage called ascites, where fluid begins to build up in the abdomen. This is often associated with legs that are skinny due to muscle loss.

    7. Brain irritation

When the liver is damaged, you can’t effectively break down protein, which causes a backup of ammonia. This affects cognitive function and personality, leading to irritability, temper issues, brain fog, and difficulty focusing.

    You can go…

    7:03 More health fraud exposed

    9:55 Lancet Planetary Health Diet

The most significant factor affecting chronic disease is food. Did you know there’s a difference between the biological and legal definitions of food? The legal definition ignores biology, allowing literal poison to be marketed as food.

Can you create health with ultra-processed food? No! It’s not sustainable and doesn’t repair tissues in the body.

Healthy foods like red meat, saturated fats, and salt have been demonized. Food is often viewed only as a source of calories, making a glass of sugar water and a steak equal. “Balanced diets” are considered healthy, which further allows for the marketing of ultra-processed foods.

Fraudulent health claims about food are just the tip of the iceberg. The definition of a drug is “anything intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a disease.” By this definition, if broccoli can help prevent a disease, it’s a drug.

We know that the calories from ultra-processed foods are one of the primary drivers of chronic disease, yet there is no established definition for these foods. RFK Jr. is currently working to change this.

The definition of disease has been broadened to include risk factors and pre-disease conditions as diseases. This allows doctors to treat more conditions with drugs. Even the definition of health has been changed to increase the demand for drugs!

There’s more. The Lancet Planetary Health Diet attempts to eliminate healthy animal-based foods and replace them with lab-grown meat, plant-based alternatives, and soy protein.

It’s argued that we must subsidize these unhealthy foods or people will starve…

14:08 Periodic prolonged fasting to lose weight fast

Surprisingly, the most common weight loss tips given by mainstream dietitians and medical professionals are the worst diet advice! Calorie counting and portion control will leave you feeling hungry and constantly craving carbs. The body adapts to a low-calorie diet, leading to a slower metabolism. A low-calorie, high-carbohydrate diet raises insulin levels.

I’m sure you’ve heard these other bad weight loss tips:

    • Eat 6 small meals per day

    • Count calories

    • Increase fiber

    • Drink more water to help you feel full

    • Chew gum

    • Take Ozempic

These tips will not boost fat loss!

Your body can use fat or glucose for fuel. Although stored fat is potential energy, you must lower your insulin to utilize it.

Insulin resistance is at the root of many chronic illnesses and can negatively affect the liver, nervous system, immune system, and more. Low-calorie diets that don’t lower insulin are not sustainable. You won’t be able to achieve your goals if you're hungry, craving carbs, dealing with brain fog, high blood pressure, or other related issues.

If you really want to lose weight, stop calorie counting! Try these 13 weight loss tips instead:

1 Don’t use pre-workout, sugary drinks, or protein bars.

7:07 18 visible kidney damage signs

10:08 How to prevent kidney disease

Healthy kidneys are imperative to your overall health. The kidneys are situated deep within the rib cage, and have your adrenal glands on top. Each filtering unit of the kidney, called a nephron, contains a highly concentrated network of capillaries.

There are 1 million nephrons in each kidney! This number often decreases with age, although it typically does not cause many symptoms. Kidneys are very good at compensating, even if they’re 50% damaged.

One of the earliest kidney health warning signs is protein in the urine. At-home urine tests detect the albumin-creatinine ratio, which you want to keep below 30 mg/g.

The stages of chronic kidney disease are associated with specific percentages of nephron loss:

    Stage 2: 20% loss

    Stage 3: 60% loss

    Stage 4: 85% loss

    Stage 6: 95% loss

The good news is that if you catch kidney disease in time, it can be reversed.

The following factors often cause kidney disease:

    •Ultra-processed foods

    •PFAS

    •Insulin resistance

    •Medications

    •Low vitamin D

    •Low magnesium

    •Low omega-3s

Scale obsession is not helpful for weight loss. The rise in cortisol from scale anxiety alone is enough to stifle your progress!

Here are 11 reasons why you shouldn’t weigh yourself:

    1. Water weight

Some people can lose up to 11 pounds of water weight in just 2 days! Initial water weight loss can cause unrealistic expectations. Most people only lose 1 to 2 pounds per week.

    2. Salt

Salty foods can cause you to retain fluid, especially if you’re consuming them with sugar.

    3. Hormones

A woman’s menstrual cycle can often cause weight-loss fluctuations of around 3 to 7 pounds. A rise in cortisol can also prevent weight loss.

    4. Location of fat

The worst type of fat is visceral fat, which accumulates around the organs. If you don’t see weight loss right away, you could be losing some of the more dangerous types of fat first.

    5. Muscle loss or gain

Losing muscle isn’t healthy! Your weight may be decreasing, but it could also be accompanied by serious side effects. Similarly, muscle weighs more than fat, so you won’t see weight loss if you’re building muscle.

    6. Myxedema

This type of fat is often found in people with hypothyroidism and is difficult to eliminate with diet and exercise alone.

    7. Poor sleep

One week of poor sleep can increase insulin resistance! Poor sleep leads to snacking, increased visceral fat, lower testosterone levels, and higher cortisol and stress levels.

    8. Ozempic

People lose weight with Ozempic, but typically regain it when they discontinue use. Around 20% to 40% of this weight loss is attributed to muscle loss.

    9. Microdamage from exercise

Overtraining breaks down your muscles. Edema and swelling can cause your weight to increase after exercise.

    3:11 Saturated fat

3:50 Side effects of unhealthy fats

    8:57 The most dangerous fat

11:48 The benefits of healthy fat

What are the unhealthiest types of fats? Let’s take a look. Saturated fats are very stable and don’t react much to oxygen because they don’t have double bonds.

Fats with double bonds are more unstable and react more readily with oxygen, resulting in increased oxidation. Monounsaturated fats have one double bond, while polyunsaturated fats have many double bonds. More double bonds mean more oxidation.

Avocado and olive oil are monounsaturated fats, so they’re moderately stable. Polyunsaturated fats, such as corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, soy oil, canola oil, and cottonseed oil, contain many double bonds, so they’re unstable and prone to significant oxidation. Hydrogenated oils are unsaturated fats that have been chemically turned into saturated fats.

Saturated fats such as lard, tallow, and butter are solid at room temperature and are very stable.

Although they are unsaturated fats, fish oil and cod liver oil have potent anti-inflammatory benefits and omega-3s, but can sometimes be rancid due to their instability. Be careful where you source them!

Heat and light create toxic byproducts in unsaturated fats called aldehydes. These toxic compounds destroy your DNA, lodge in your cell membranes, and damage the insulin receptors on the surface of your cells. They can also make your cells stiff and fragile.

For years, saturated fats have been demonized, and unsaturated fats have been recommended! This has also occurred with other foods, such as red meat and grains.

13:50 Keto diet facts and fiction

In this video, we’ll take a look at why some people struggle with weight loss on the keto diet or experience a keto weight loss plateau.

To do the keto diet correctly, you must reduce your carb intake to 50 grams or less per day, especially if you’re working towards a goal such as weight loss, reducing chronic illness, increasing energy, or improving your health.

Avoid these 13 common keto diet mistakes!

    1. Don’t do dirty keto, a low-carb diet that doesn’t eliminate unhealthy ingredients.

    2. Poor sleep increases blood sugar values to those of a prediabetic. It also increases cortisol levels, inhibits the release of growth hormone, and reduces fat burning.

    3. Stress raises cortisol levels, which blocks the benefits of keto.

    4. Overtraining can stifle weight loss!

    5. Gallbladder and liver health are vital for fat breakdown and absorption, and critical for proper thyroid function. You won’t lose weight on keto until you address these issues first.

    6. Your thyroid is responsible for metabolism and energy. Focus on iodine, selenium, and zinc intake for a healthy thyroid.

    7. Weight loss on keto starts with a healthy gut. Try L. reuteri yogurt to restore gut health and lose weight.

    8. Not getting enough sun is one of the most common keto weight loss problems. Vitamin D protects you from insulin resistance, and sunlight increases melatonin and serotonin.

    9. The more atrophy you have, the less keto will work for weight loss.

    10. Make sure you have realistic expectations and an accurate definition of normal. After the initial water weight …

So what’s the worst protein in the world? Here are 11 facts about one of the most dangerous protein sources:

    1. The industrial extraction of defatted soy flour involves fat removal from soy flour using hexane, a component of gasoline. This ingredient is considered GRAS, or generally recognized as safe. This is a legal loophole that allows a company to classify its own product as safe.

    2. This ultra-processed protein is a byproduct of the soybean oil industry.

    3. It contains heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, and lead.

    4. It’s thermo-mechanically restructured, which means high temperatures and machinery are used to restructure the product so that it mimics the texture of meat.

    5. This product makes around $1.39 billion per year.

    6. It’s marketed as healthy and has been around since the 1960s.

    7. It contains sodium hydroxide, which changes the pH, chemically altering the protein.

    8. It contains hydrogen peroxide and titanium dioxide used as bleaching agents.

    9. It’s composed of sponge-like chunks of artificial meat that’s rehydrated with additional seed oil.

    10. Artificial flavor and color are added to mimic the taste and appearance of meat.

    11. The protein is dried at around 347 degrees Fahrenheit, so by the time you cook it, it’s been heated twice.

Did you know that all of the blood in your body should only contain a single teaspoon of sugar? Our bodies tightly regulate the amount of sugar in our blood at any given time. If you have prediabetes, that number rises to 1.5 teaspoons. With diabetes, the blood contains 2 teaspoons of sugar.

The average person consumes between 50 and 100 teaspoons of sugar every day. Insulin removes the sugar from your blood and converts it to fat or stored sugar in the liver and muscles. The body only needs a tiny amount of sugar (which the liver can make on its own), so we don’t actually need to consume any sugar at all.

Chronic excessive sugar consumption can lead to the development of insulin resistance, which is at the root of many chronic diseases.

Improve blood sugar control by avoiding these common mistakes when testing your blood sugar.

    1. Not washing your hands

    2. Using alcohol wipes incorrectly

Did you know that your legs can give early warning signs about underlying health conditions? The older you are, the more relevant this becomes! The following conditions that affect the legs can provide insight into your longevity and overall health.

    1. Peripheral neuropathy

These symptoms of numbness, pain, tingling, or burning in the bottom of the feet or fingertips are often associated with diabetes. High levels of sugar in the bloodstream destroy the vascular and nervous systems.

    2. Ankle and foot edema

Puffy legs and ankles, or pitting edema, often signify a serious problem with circulation involving the kidney, liver, or heart.

    3. Restless legs syndrome

This often occurs at night and is related to the overconsumption of sugar. Interference with your sleep can decrease longevity. Dietary changes, vitamin B1, and magnesium may help improve this condition.

    4. Deep vein thrombosis

Clots in the legs can break off and travel to the lungs. Around 90% to 95% percent of heart attacks are caused by clots.

    5. Peripheral artery disease

This type of atherosclerosis goes beyond the arteries of the heart and is caused by damage to the endothelial layer of the arteries.

    6. Chronic venous insufficiency

This is associated with a sedentary lifestyle and puts increased pressure on the heart.

    7. Sarcopenia

Age-related muscle loss is one of the top predictors of mortality. Protein and exercise are vital, especially as you age.

Type 2 diabetes and blood sugar issues cause problems with the inside of the arteries, which often show up in your legs first. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting can help reverse these issues, but this is often ignored by doctors. Benfotiamine and alpha-lipoic acid can also help with associated peripheral neuropathy.

Mainstream media may have red-lined some of these foods, but they’re actually the best foods you can eat for heart health!

A heart-healthy diet is often characterized as being low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium, and high in fiber. This isn’t the best diet for heart health! For a healthy heart, prioritize nutrient-dense foods that contain the active form of vitamin A, heme iron, vitamin B12, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, and high-quality complete protein.

Here are the top 10 superfoods for your heart!

    1. Red meat

I’m sure you’re surprised to see this on the list! Grass-fed red meat contains high-quality amino acids that support the mitochondria in the heart. It’s also a potent source of CoQ10, stearic acid, carnitine, carnosine, zinc, and vitamin B12.

    2. Butter

Grass-fed butter is very healthy for your heart! It’s loaded with vitamin K2, which helps remove calcium from the arteries. It also contains butyrate, CLA, the active form of vitamin A, and stearic acid.

    3. Egg yolk

Egg yolks are rich in choline, which helps prevent a fatty liver. Liver fat can spill over into the heart in the form of epicardial fat. Egg yolks also contain vitamin K2 and carotenoids.

    4. Cheese

Raw, aged cheese is rich in vitamin K2 and contains natural ACE inhibitors, which help support healthy blood pressure.

    5. Shellfish

Oysters, mussels, and clams are excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids and various trace minerals, including zinc, copper, iron, and magnesium.

    6. Organ meats

Grass-fed, grass-finished liver and other organ meats contain omega-3s, CoQ10, vitamin A, B12, and trace minerals like copper. You can also consume cod liver for the same benefits!

    7. Fermented foods

Foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, and natto are rich in vitamin K2. Natto contains nattokinase, which…

9:22 Improving collagen absorption and function

Collagen is often used for hair, skin, nails, and joints. It’s been used to prevent wrinkles and as a beauty product, but the real benefit of collagen has nothing to do with beauty!

Our ancestors ate animals nose to tail. This means they included organ meats, bone marrow, cartilage, and skin as vital parts of their diet.

Around 30% of the protein in your body is collagen. It makes up the connective tissue of the body. Your tendons, ligaments, cartilage, fascia, and even a portion of your bones are made of collagen.

In modern times, most of our meat doesn’t contain much collagen. Only 1% to 3% of the protein we eat is collagen. This can lead to deficiencies in glycine, a key amino acid.

When you’re 17, you have the most collagen of your entire life. As we age, we lose a significant amount of collagen, leading to skin sagging, wrinkles, joint issues, and increased overall fragility.

Here are some of the surprising benefits of collagen:

    •Antioxidant properties

    •Helps increase glutathione

    •Gut lining repair

    •Glycine for sleep and detoxification

Most of the collagen from the diet breaks down into amino acids. Only 10% remains as collagen peptide chains.

Peptides are signaling molecules that tell the body to repair and rebuild connective tissue. These peptides trigger specific genes that activate the fibroblast cells in the body to produce collagen and elastin.

Subcutaneous fat is the fat stored just under the skin. Visceral fat surrounds the organs. This type of fat is unhealthy and inflammatory, often related to insulin resistance. Liver fat can be eliminated in a matter of days or weeks.

Fat on the inner thighs is the most difficult type of fat to get rid of. This fat is not just superficial; it’s woven inside the muscle fibers, similar to the marbling in Wagyu beef. Muscle deteriorates and is replaced by fat and scar tissue. Stem cells that make muscle cells are lost, resulting in fewer contractions, less ATP, and more insulin resistance in the muscle.

This abnormal accumulation of fat in the muscle is called myosteatosis, or intramuscular fat. This fat must be burned locally! As you begin to address this problem, you may not initially lose weight or notice a visible change, because the change occurs at the cellular level.

For inner thigh fat loss, focus on repairing damaged muscle cells, rather than simply losing weight. Strength and decreased appetite will signify that you are improving.

The root causes of intramuscular fat are the following:

    •Inactivity/sedentary life

    •Insulin resistance

    •Inflammation

    •Aging

For the most inner thigh fat loss, try the following:

    1. Eccentric exercises

This treatment has never been scientifically proven to work! There have been no official trials, and it has even been performed on children and pregnant women. The UN calls this treatment a human rights abuse and compares this forced treatment on minors to torture. In China, it’s actually used as a form of torture.

Avoid the following toxic ingredients, often found in ultra-processed foods.

    1. Trans fats

Some foods still contain trans fats. This ingredient is even worse when combined with refined carbohydrates.

    2. High fructose corn syrup

This synthetic sugar goes straight to the liver, contributing to a fatty liver and insulin resistance. Sweet drinks made with alcohol cause significant liver damage and affect the brain, nervous system, and heart. Seed oils exacerbate this problem.

    3. Sodium nitrate

This is a preservative found in bacon and hot dogs, and it becomes increasingly toxic when heated.

    4. Fried potatoes/burnt toast

Adding heat to a starch creates toxic byproducts such as aldehydes and acrylamide. These toxic ingredients cause inflammation in the body. Starch or sugar combined with protein creates AGEs, harmful byproducts that damage your arteries, eyes, kidneys, and brain.

    5. Artificial sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners have a toxic effect on the body, especially the microbiome.

    1:45 Synthetic vs. natural vitamins

    3:38 Do multivitamins really work?

    9:32 Natural vitamins and minerals

    11:17 Fake vitamins exposed!

Many multivitamins are made with the cheapest, synthetic ingredients which could be doing more harm than good.

The first ingredient in many multivitamins is often calcium carbonate, which is limestone! The first ingredient usually makes up the majority of the product. Magnesium oxide, another common ingredient, is very cheap and has the lowest absorption rate compared to other forms of magnesium.

The term “natural” isn’t regulated, so ingredients derived from sources such as petroleum and coal tar can be labeled as natural. In nature, vitamins don’t exist alone; they are combined with other nutrients and cofactors, which are often missing when you take synthetic vitamins. Biochemistry can not work without cofactors.

Although there are nutrients that are difficult to obtain in sufficient amounts from food, that doesn’t mean they should be replaced with synthetic multivitamins.

Maltodextrin is commonly used as a filler in vitamins and minerals. It’s a highly refined industrial starch, classified as a complex carbohydrate, and spikes blood sugar more than sugar.

Ascorbic acid is a synthetic part of the vitamin C complex. Approximately 90% is made in China from GMO corn and sulfuric acid. Many people have a genetic issue converting cyanocobalamin, a synthetic form of B12, and folic acid, a synthetic form of B9, into their active forms. This can cause negative side effects in 40% of the population.

Almost all of the popular multivitamins are owned by Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Chemical, or large investment gr…

    1. Trying to improve gut health with fiber

Increasing fiber is one of the worst things you can do for your gut, yet it’s commonly recommended. If your gut is damaged, fiber can exacerbate the issue, contributing to gas and inflammation. If you have gut inflammation, the carnivore diet can help! The carnivore diet helps increase glutamine, an amino acid that promotes gut healing. Zinc carnosine and butyrate, found in butter, are excellent for a healthy gut. Intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting are crucial for maintaining digestive health.Approximately 40% of the population has SIBO. L. Reuteri can help reduce SIBO and has many other amazing benefits. It increases oxytocin, lowers stres, and even increases social capacity. Ensure you have strong stomach acid for healthy digestion and protection from microbes.

    2. Commercial probiotics and yogurt

The amount of probiotics in these products is so low that it won’t make a difference in gut health. Many commercial yogurts are low-fat and contain added sugar and starch.

    3. Colon cleansing

This eliminates beneficial gut bacteria, which can ultimately lead to constipation and other health issues. Avoid detoxing and focus on a healthy diet.

    4. Antibiotics

Your gut microbiome does not fully recover after taking antibiotics. Bacteria that survive antibiotics can become antibiotic-resistant superbugs! If you have to take antibiotics take a good probiotic simultaneously.

    5. Antacids

Acid reflux is a valve problem caused by low stomach acid. Weakening your stomach acid worsens the problem. Strong stomach acid is vital for digestion, protection against pathogens, and mineral absorption.

1:30 What causes severe period cramps?

6:42 Vitamin D3 and painful menstrual cramps

12:38 13 natural remedies for period pain

Today, I’m going to show you how to relieve period cramps fast, and for good. There are two types of period cramps: the primary type is labeled idiopathic, and secondary cramps that are caused by fibroids, ovarian cysts, or endometriosis.

Many women take NSAIDs, birth control pills, and Depo shots for period pain relief. The medical community generally discourages the use of natural remedies for menstrual cramps, but does not discourage the use of medication. Research has shown the effectiveness of vitamin B1 and vitamin E.

Upon searching for the root cause, I stumbled upon the following clues:

    • Painful cramps are caused by pain chemicals called prostaglandins.

    • Vasopressin, which causes contractions and decreased blood flow, is elevated when you have menstrual cramps.

    • Painful period cramps are associated with high parathyroid hormone levels.

    • Women with painful menstrual cramps also have much higher inflammation in the uterus, often related to NF-KB.

    • Black women have a 33% higher likelihood of getting severe period cramps than white women.

    • Menstrual cramps are sometimes treated with calcium channel blockers.

This led to the conclusion that the root cause of menstrual cramps is a severe vitamin D3 deficiency! Try the following natural remedies for period pain and say goodbye to menstrual cramps for good:

    1. Take 20,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily

    2. Take 400-600 mg of magnesium glycinate

If you have damage to your arteries, you’re at an increased risk for high blood pressure and clots, which can cause strokes and heart attacks. When you visit the doctor for these conditions, they typically address the symptoms rather than examining the root cause.

The root cause of plaque in the arteries is endothelial damage. Endothelial damage and inflammation are repaired by plaque, composed of calcium, cholesterol, and protein.

Arterial damage decreases nitric oxide levels, resulting in less control over blood pressure and an increased risk of clotting. Around 90% of heart attacks come from clots!

Sunlight is vital to increase nitric oxide. Nasal breathing and magnesium are also essential.

You can reverse arterial plaque buildup through a process called reverse cholesterol transport. This mechanism transports plaque in the arteries back to the liver for recycling. This process can be sped up with the help of the following:

    •Niacin

    •HDL cholesterol

    •Exercise

    •Fasting

    •Low-carb diets

    •Bile salts

Magnesium controls calcium, so increasing your intake can help to remove it from the arteries. Polyphenols protect the endothelial layer of the arteries, and vitamin K2 helps prevent arterial calcification.

Cacao powder is the main component of the best drink for your arteries. It’s high in flavonols and stimulates enzymes in the body to produce more nitric oxide. Roasted cacao has been shown to increase blood flow to the arteries, similar to the effects of exercise.

Cacao is also beneficial for your heart, brain, skin, and othe…

Medicine aims to label a disease and treat the symptoms with medication. Medication comes with side effects, which are then treated with more medication. Focusing on the root cause of health problems could help avoid numerous issues.

The average adult consumes over 50% of their calories from ultra-processed foods. Food is readily available, we’re constantly looking at screens, and we’re exposed to toxins like never before. Sterilized food and environments have caused underdeveloped immune systems and epidemic-level nutrient deficiencies.

Genetics plays a role in disease and immunity, but there’s more to it. Genetics can provide clues about potential health issues we may encounter if our diet and environment are not quite right.

    2:20 What is starch?

5:20 Refined carbohydrates and chronic disease

    6:08 Hidden sugar foods

    8:31 Food vs. ultra-processed foods

It’s no secret that ultra-processed carbs can take a serious toll on your health. Consuming this dangerous carbohydrate can have the following side effects:•Development of type 2 diabetes and a fatty liver•Insulin resistance•Visceral fat•Feeds pathogens in the gut •Inflammation•Increased LDL cholesterol

Products containing this ingredient can be marketed as zero sugar, even though it quickly turns to sugar in the blood. It’s incredibly cheap, at about 20 cents per pound, and has no health benefits. It’s used as a filler, and the average person consumes between 60 and 250 pounds per year.

You can find this ingredient in gluten-free foods, baby formulas, baked goods, and other refined foods. Surprisingly, many athletes also consume this product.

The carb we’re talking about is industrial starch, such as modified food starch, corn starch, and maltodextrin. Starch is a string of glucose molecules. When a starch is modified in a lab, its bonds become very weak and fragile, causing it to turn into sugar very quickly in the body.

Industrial starches are processed with chemicals such as sodium trimetaphosphate, vinyl acetate, bleach, and octenyl succinic anhydride. These chemicals are considered GRAS (generally recognized as safe), but they are self-regulated.

Industrial starches are directly responsible for the complications associated with type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, brain plaquing, and fibrosis of the liver.

People rarely consume starch alone. Most junk foods are composed of starches, seed oils, and sugar. Consuming starc…

    5:11 Unhealthy facts about yogurt

    6:45 Processed yogurt ingredients

    8:59 Probiotics, kefir, and sauerkraut

The benefits of yogurt and other fermented foods do not lie in their ability to reseed the gut. The real benefit is the change in environment. Fermented and cultured foods change the pH and oxygen levels in the gut. They also provide food and metabolites for the gut microbes, which can also help activate dormant microbes.

Many microbes have been suppressed by antibiotics, junk food, and other factors. Many of them are keystone microbes, which are vital for your gut health.

Unless your yogurt says it contains live and active cultures, it’s been double-pasteurized. Commercial yogurt typically ferments for 1 to 2 hours, whereas traditional homemade yogurt ferments anywhere from 8 to 36 hours. By the time you eat commercial yogurt, there are significantly fewer CFUs of bacteria than stated on the label.

Sugar in yogurt can kill the friendly bacteria and feed pathogens in your gut. Added ingredients, such as pectin, gels, and guar gum, inhibit bacterial movement. Yogurt fermented for only 1 to 2 hours will not have the right texture or thickness, so ingredients such as modified food starch, carrageenan, and polysorbate 80 are added. These ingredients can destroy the mucosal layer of the gut, leading to leaky gut and inflammation. Many commercial yogurts contain artificial sweeteners, which are known to alter the gut microbiome.

Many processed yogurts contain bioengineered food ingredients that may contain traces of glyphosate, a patented antibiotic. This means the very product you’re consuming to suppor…

Did you know that Big Pharma and Big Food buy social media influencers? These social media health gurus influence what you eat, the decisions you make about your health, and attempt to invalidate other health influencers and information. As Big Pharma loses public trust, it turns to social media influencers to try to regain it.

Since 2000, penalties for Big Pharma have totaled over $126 billion. Sixty billion of that was related to patient injury and harm. Modern medicine, with the help of Big Pharma, has shifted its focus from health to profit.

Approximately 90% of the media on TV is funded by Big Pharma. This is also true for digital marketing. On average, social media influencers are paid $20 to $25 per 1,000 views. If that influencer has more trust, they can make 8 to 12 times this amount. Based on my trustworthiness and credibility, I could be paid between $250,000 and $500,000 for a 60- to 90-second post.

Big Pharma goes through PR firms to connect with social media influencers. These influencers are required to disclose that they’re being paid, but many of them do not. People like Dr. Mike recommend medicine and vaccines yet claim Big Pharma is not paying them.
